Measurement & Data
We believe the ability to measure and understand the impact of your work toward social change is fundamental to long-term success.
“
The team at Four Corners didn't just conduct the technical aspects of collecting and analyzing data; they were patient educators and cheerleaders for our program practitioners operating in leadership spaces internationally. Throughout our partnership, they excelled at delivering timely strategic counsel that helped us think enterprise-wide and decades forward. They shared our organizational values and adapted to meet the needs of our fast-growing program portfolio. Our partnership far exceeded our expectations, resulting in culture change: we are well-practiced at celebrating collective learning as a vulnerable and non-linear endeavor and hunger for data best practices.”
~ The Obama Foundation - Global Leadership Programs
Four Corners specializes in helping teams understand the impact of their work. We support the measurement of programs of all sizes—from small, community-based projects to large-scale global initiatives—to gather relevant, actionable insights that help clients refine their design and ultimately amplify their impact. Our approach combines strong technical skills with a nuanced understanding of how change happens in the real world. We're particularly skilled at leveraging different data sources—surveys, interviews, focus groups, existing data and literature, and more—to extract tangible insights and develop a complete picture of what's working and what isn't.
Rooted in data-equity principles, we center the participants and community members most affected by programming, policy, and funding decisions in our research process, compensate participants for their time whenever possible, and promote reciprocity and sharing data back with those who contributed their time, insights, and lived experiences. We're intentional about avoiding extractive practices that burden participants unnecessarily—we only collect data that truly matters for decision-making.
Ultimately, we believe data should tell a story that inspires action. We transform complex information into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with program teams, organizational leadership and boards, and diverse external audiences. Our goal is to help clients make confident, evidence-based decisions and use their data to strengthen their impact, communicate their story, and advance their mission. Whether conducting evaluations, building monitoring systems, or creating practical data collection tools, we focus on making information both accessible and actionable.
